The BIRTHFIT Basics: Prenatal and Postpartum are both a human breath and movement class. Seriously, our breath and movement patterns are the entire focus of this class. Please honor and respect our breath and basic human patterns in this intentional training class series. This is an incredible opportunity to create and cultivate your space, share meditations, and encourage relaxation at the end of your classes. This class is designed to be simple yet challenging. This class will also be humbling for some and scary for others.

Both the Prenatal and Postpartum classes are an introduction to the BIRTHFIT Basics. These movements and poses can be a daily movement practice. For the Prenatal class it is ideal if your class participants take what they learn in your class and create a daily movement practice in order to have a daily conversation with their physical body. It’s important to get to know our bodies every day and discover the language of our bodies through sensation. Treat this hour as sacred and honor it. Move with intention and connect from your heart. For the Postpartum Class, finding our bodies again after a traumatic/transformative event (like birth or the adoption process) can feel like trying to walk after a leg injury or throw after a shoulder injury. It’s a reintegration from the entire inside out. It’s important to get to know our bodies every day and discover the language of our bodies through sensation. Treat this hour as sacred and honor it.
