BIRTHFIT focuses on a growth mindset. This means we embrace an ever-changing, always-growing, constantly-learning approach to life. We embrace the fact that we can always grow and improve.
This translates to an ever-evolving experience for those who work with us. The moms who took my first BIRTHFIT Postpartum Series in 2014 had a vastly different experience than the ones taking the course now. I’m okay with that because I know that in that first class, I was offering women support, guidance, and information that they were seeking, and did so from a place of love. I gave them the best of what I had at that time; I recognize that what I have to offer now is better, but I see that as a positive demonstration of growth rather than a negative reflection of the past.
There’s no sense in judging yourself for past decisions; you chose what you did at a certain point in time because that was what you deemed to be appropriate. I’ve made some horrible decisions in my life, but I look on those with gratitude rather than judgment because I grew from those experiences.
This happens with motherhood all the time; as first-time parents, my husband and I chose things for our oldest son that we have since changed for our second son. Rather than regretting the decisions we made the first time around, I’m thankful for the knowledge we gained from those experiences. As long as you’re open to growth, mistakes can become stepping stones rather than roadblocks.

Every single woman that we work with gives us a new set of eyes on what we’re doing and how we’re doing it; we learn from this and continue moving forward, always growing.
