Brian the Birth Guy!

Most Moms-to-be take a breastfeeding class prior to the birth of their baby. The focus is on correct latch and positioning, how to tell if the baby is getting enough nourishment, and other newborn related breastfeeding issues.

But what about 3 or 4 months down the line? As babies grow and change, their breastfeeding needs grow and change. And often times moms are dealing with going back to work, pumping, supply issues, and other concerns that are beyond the scope of what they learned in their breastfeeding class prior to birth.

As we were putting together resources for our BirthFIT Postpartum class in Austin, it only made sense to seek out our colleague out of San Antonio- Brian the Birth Guy!

Brian is a HUGE wealth of information and resources for expectant and new moms. For the past 19 years, Brian has been working with couples as a Lactation Consultant, Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Community Outreach. Within 5 minutes of meeting him, you find yourself laughing, highly entertained, and amazed at what this man knows!

In today’s Postpartum class, Brian talked with the moms about processing birth trauma, answered tons of breastfeeding questions, and even talked about sex after baby- something we all have questions about but that no one is actually talking about. Brian has a knack for opening up the conversation and making people feel safe and comfortable enough to open up about the challenges they are facing as new moms.

Brian is available via Skype, phone, or email. We have partnered with him to offer our BirthFIT clients all of his services via Skype, so if you are not in the San Antonio area, you can still take his class online! Check out the details here.
