BirthFIT Basics at CrossFit Anacapa

BirthFIT Basics is a three hour course that teaches women the essentials of nutrition and fitness to ensure a happy, healthy, functional pregnancy. CrossFit Anacapa will play host to BirthFIT Basics on January 26th, 2013. The session will start at 9am and end at 12pm.
If you are thinking of getting pregnant, already pregnant, or coach women, then this is a perfect place for you to start. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing in which you can workout in and bring a snack if you would like. Don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Note: This is a modified version of the regular BirthFIT Workshop in which I partner with Kat Grosshaupt of Fit Life Austin. Our regular BirthFIT Workshops are 9am-4pm with an hour break for lunch.

Shoulder warm up [see video].
10 Torso rotations.
10 Good Mornings.
10 Lunges
10 Scapula push ups
10 Planks to Downward Dog.
10 PVC pass throughs.
10 PVC strict presses.
Advanced (65#), Intermediate (45#), Beginner (20-35#)
For time:
-1000m Row-
10 Rounds
10 Strict Press
30 Air Squats
-1000m Row-
If you are having trouble breathing or you are a beginner, you may want to try 500m of rowing instead of 1000m row.
